- SEMOKEE: New in Reggae best known for her Jazzy Reggae style, Semokee’s New ISLAND ADRIFT Promo is simple yet very effective featurin she and the Nubian Players Band hit single "I'm Drained". Big props on her recent Live South Florida performance which proved she belongs here and Jamaican culture has embraced Semokee like a daughter. So Jazzy and Irie she and the Original Nubian Players Band pulled it off very nicely to intro the new young Roots Reggae-Soul Artist earning her a respectful nickname as the "Jazzy-Reggae Daughter". An ASCAP member and go getter is the beautiful Afro-Native American. Those who have been entertained by Semokee are left with mouths wide "open" in pleasant suprise as she can 'mash it up' Live very fearlessly. SEMOKEE is not only beautful outside but inside as well this Ras Sistren has her sound but many have compared her to Erykah Badu stating she is the Badu of Reggae. <> SEMOKEE & The Original NUBIAN Players band is definitely on track for the New Year 2009. Semokee is very passionate about performing and is honored to be a embraced by our Reggae Art and Culture.
