Natural Mystic. This phrase to me means the Spirit of Jamaica. Natural is the word that sums up the entire Nation. We are all born on this planet earth which is a natural thing this essentially makes us Human Beings. However the Jamaica situation is different. (It nah cum to yuh pon plate doh) Luxuries were never a part of the Jamaica experience so we started from the pure ground like a plant we grew up and developed our own coping mechanisms. Communication is where the Natural Mystic became absolute. Something happened and we found the ideal way to connect and communicate with each other. Notice the Verbal and none verbal ways Jamaicans connect and communicate.

Some of our great communicators of the more recent past are Marcus Garvey, Clifford Campbell, Florzel Glaspole, and Bob Marley. How we managed is certainly a case that required extensions. We reached out like roots in the ground and found sustenance physically and spiritually. What Toots felt in the process he referred to it by calling it Reggae. What Bob felt he referred to it as the Natural Mystic.                                The spirit of Jamaica. is the energy of a Smile. The voice that inspires and educates in silence and is as pleasant and infectious as Reggae is.

This word Reggae and the Phrase Natural Mystic could not have come through two more natural people.
